Don't you think Apple and alike are missing the boat from a product design and marketing standpoint? All they have to do is build technology into their iPod software that allows the device to automatically quiet down a bit if it has been running at full crank for over an hour.
I think Pete and Steve Jobs should do a joint public service ad and run it on MTV/VH1 about ear care, but I bet the folks at Apple would worry how many sales they would lose. I could be wrong though..

Gary...I agree completely! I wish there were some controls on these things..my kids finally got the idea..but one of my "adopted" boys still chooses to smoke, so what do you do? I found myself ranting to a 12 year old girl when she let me listen to her headphone CD player..I couldn't believe how loud it was! Do they WANT this constant noise in their heads? I'm almost deaf in my left ear, as well. Love your pics on your blog!
