I miss my boy in Korea. He'll be home soon for a week. This morning I picked up my guitar for the first time in around a year and there was the strap he bought me for my birthday a couple of years ago, and I missed him more.
Luckily, I have a little sweet-faced reminder around.
Hey Karen - I glanced around but probably missed why your son (I believe) is in Korea.? Perhaps in military? I did a year there in 84. Longest, hardest, yr of my life at the time. Whatever the circumstances - I pray peace for you both (or all) until his return ... & a speedy return. - tim
Yes, Tim. . .Robert is in the Army. He is not our biological son, but ours just the same. He's been part of our lives since he was 13 and always in trouble, and lived with us for a time. He's doing great now. Soon, he and family will move to Washington (state) and finally get to be a family for a while. Not sure what the future brings, probably Iraq. :-( Sorry you had to be in Korea...he doesn't like it one bit, either!

that truly is one of the sweetest faces I've ever seen!
Kinda reminds me of your sweet-faced nephew!

You play guitar? The discoveries just never end! :)
I have prayers for Robert - and for your and his family's lonely hearts for him.
That boy is growing. Keep the joy of that one in your heart!
