The child. . . .

I told him to be quiet.
He was.
I told him to get books to read silently.
He did.
I told him not to speak to me in a disrespectful manner.
He apologized.
5 days at Level 3. Unheard of.

I think I'm in an alternate universe.
Will it last? I don't know.
Summer's coming and all of his teachers' hard work may be for nothing. Completely undone by the chaos of home for the summer.
Please pray for this kid.

That's sad that all the good may get undone, but you made a difference in his life and some of it is bound to stay with him...I hope. You are one in a million Karen.

Thanks, B...it's not my work. It has been the work of several women empowering each other to "parent" and teach this child. A cool thing to see, and I've made some good sister friends in Christ!

Boundaries, it is all about the boundaries and consistency. So many parents set none and for some any re-action is enough.

Wow what a wonderful followup to everything you've shared until now about this young challenge! And to think that it's happened through cameraderie? Too beautiful. If the team has learned to play together and achieve a win that way, your young ward will get restraightened quickly in Sept.

Thanks for the great news!
