What do you think?

With all the George W bashing, I found this dissenting thought refreshing and classy. Rosie O'Donnell could take a cue from MC on how to be graceful in opinion. What do you think of it?

I liked the song but don't think that it will be any more effective than Rosie. GWB is in Iraq for the long haul ... most republican preidential candidates have similar positions on Iraq. Sadly, I think that it will take a Democrat to get us out.

I stopped listening to Rosie after she went after Tom Sellek.

I agree with KB.

It was done well and i don't care for rap but I found myself wanted to download this one.

KB, I'm not sure what it's going to take to get us out. I have to respect GW...he is certainly standing firm for some reason, against the majority thought.
Milly....ROSIE O'DONNELL WENT AFTER TOM SELLECK?!?!?

I love this video. I agree with you, it's refreshing and classy. I like MC, met him in the 80's when he was performing at a Christian concert with Jon Gibson.

Anyhow, I appreciate you sharing this, I'm going to save it.

Thanks, Barbara...I wish people would disagree in more civil manners! You got to meet him? Cool!
Milly...I did indeed find the transcripts! She is a piece of work.

I, too, am not really a rap fan, but I can appreciate the manner in which this topic was handled. Rosie definitely could learn a lesson -- some part of me wishes that her career had flamed out after "Gimme a Break" ended years ago. Most people have forgotten that she played Nell Carter's neighbor in the last season or two of that show.....

Karen- I sent you an email to an address which starts: nt------. Is this the correct address? I'm more than happy to help. I sent it about 6:30 PM, 6/17.

Yes, Don, that's it...I'll retrieve it. THANKS!

There is a lot of tact in the way this is presented. His stay in the Surreal House helped me see a side of Hammer that I have grown to respect. (Same for CeCe Deville!)

I agree that the video and the song are well done and not inflammatory. I wouldn't have known that the rapper was MC. I enjoyed the guy singing the chorus more and I could understand what he was saying.

I supported the invasion of Iraq to eliminate Saddam but now that Saddam is gone I think we are wasting precious lives by staying in Iraq. Perhaps the question we should ask is whether the Sunnis and Shias would continue to fight each other if al Qaeda was completely eliminated. If you think they will quit fighting then you might want to see our troops fight on. If you think they will continue fighting then you probably want our troops to leave Iraq yesterday. I think they will continue fighting each other.

I also think Bush and Cheney are front men for a profiteering cartel of defense contractors, the military and the White House. The White House is spending $6 billion a week in Iraq. Do you think our defense contractors want the war to end now?

with you on all counts, Joe..every family member or friend of mine that has been there says it was good to be there to get Saddam...time to come home now.
