My "baby" turned 15 on Sunday!...had his wisdom teeth extracted this morning. This is the first time I've been able to post his picture and brag about him. If he knew he'd be scolding me!
He's an honor student, a Star scout, a comedian, he's kind, thoughtful, quiet, a perfectionist, an athlete, a video gamer and filmmaker, a true friend.

At this rate....

I had my real age
calculated last year, before the tinnitus, before the anemia, before the GI problems and sedentary weight gain....all I dealt with was the lupus and fibro pain. I was calculated 8 years below my real age of 47. Now, I was calculated only 1 year below my actual age...so I've aged 7 years physically in 1 year! OMGosh! I'm a dog! ;-). Seriously, though...I'm concerned. Here's a last year picture, and a this year picture. Not good....but I'm determined to turn it around! I know you all...you'll want to post sweet nice things, but DON'T!! I gotta get myself together, here. Addendum: Destiny is no matter of chance. God gives us free will to make choices. I gotta remember that! Yes, we deal with many issues: finances, health, tragedies, etc.; It's how we work with what we have.

Big Daddy says....

Don't you love it when you ask God to give you something? A scripture, a verse, ANYTHING to tell you something, encourage, whatever. He is always faithful, too. He gave me this scripture yesterday. It is perfect for a current situation...and it both encouraged me...and humbled me. I love the equality--and the respect-- that Paul affords these women that he is referring to. They fought along side of him. They are his coworkers. Not his employees, not his slaves, not his underlings. They are his CO-workers.
He'll give you something, too. He will speak directly to you and your heart. What do you think He might tell you?

Yes, and I ask you, too, Synzugos, to assist these women seeing that they fought in the contest with me for the Good News, with Clement too, and the rest of my coworkers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Dang, it's hot....

I got back from a job this afternoon...I can't get the A/C in this house that I'm working in to cool down. I have a fan, but geegollywillikers....it's 86 in that 8,000 sqft. house. Now, in 100 degree weather, that might seem cool....but 86 is only cool if you're on the beach with a festive umbrella over head and perhaps a delightful pina colada with a mini-me umbrella tucked happily inside it...and a good book to read. However...86 degrees is NOT comfy for a 40 something, slightly Rubenesque female hauling ladders and paint buckets around, and climbing up and down. It's hotter up toward the ceiling, did you KNOW that?? :-) I think I "glowed" off a few pounds....
